Delete your Tabby account

Tabby is the expense-splitting app published by Educalibr. You can delete your account and personal data at any time using either of the methods below.

Option 1 — In-app (instant, recommended)

Open the Tabby app on iPhone or Android.
Tap Profile (bottom-right tab).
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete account.
Confirm the deletion in the prompt.

Your profile is anonymised within a few seconds. All personal identifiers (name, email, password hash, push token, payment methods, profile photo) are stripped from our database. Events you participated in remain visible to the other members so their balances stay correct, but you appear as an anonymous “Removed member” with no contact info.

Option 2 — Email request

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@educalibr.com from the address registered on your account. Tell us you would like your Tabby account deleted. We will:

Confirm your identity by replying to the registered email.
Anonymise the account within 30 days of receiving your confirmation.
Reply to let you know it’s done.

What is deleted

Your name and email address
Your password (hash)
Your default currency and timezone
Your push notification token
Any payment methods (card numbers and bank labels)
Your profile photo
Your account session tokens

What is kept

To keep other event members’ balances accurate, the following items linked to your past activity are retained but are no longer associated with you personally:

Expenses you logged (anonymised as “Removed member”)
Settlements you recorded
Your share of split bills

These records cannot be removed without breaking other members’ historical totals.

Receipts and AI-scanned images

Receipt photos and voice clips are forwarded to our OCR / transcription providers (OpenAI Vision, OpenAI Whisper) only for the duration of the request and are not retained on our servers after processing.
