Terms of Use (EULA)

Last updated: May 12, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tabby mobile application (“Tabby”, “the app”). Tabby is operated by Educalibr (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Tabby you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

For questions about these Terms, email support@educalibr.com.

1. The service

Tabby is a shared-expense tracker for groups. It lets you log expenses inside an event, split them across members, and see who owes whom. Tabby is a record-keeping tool — it does not move money, process payments, or charge any card. Any card number you attach to your profile is stored for display only so that other members can copy it to pay you outside Tabby.

2. Account

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password confidential. You must be at least the minimum age required to consent to use a digital service in your country (13 in most jurisdictions, 16 in some EU member states).

You can delete your account any time from Profile → Delete account, or by emailing privacy@educalibr.com.

3. Subscriptions

Tabby offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (“Tabby Pro”) that unlock additional features:

Renewal. Each subscription renews automatically at the end of its period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Free trial. The 7-day free trial applies only to first-time subscribers of the AI plan. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the regular subscription price. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Cancel or manage. Manage or cancel from your Apple ID account settings → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Price changes. Apple will notify you of price increases. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s standard refund policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit to Tabby (event names, expenses, receipt photos, etc.). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process and display that content solely to operate the service for you and the members of your events.

You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of content you submit. Tabby does not verify financial records and is not a substitute for professional accounting.

6. Third-party services

Tabby integrates with third-party providers (Apple Push Notification service, Expo Application Services, OpenAI for receipt OCR, exchangerate-api.com for FX). Their use of any data we send them is governed by their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.

7. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and Educalibr only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

You acknowledge that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

8. Disclaimers

Tabby is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that calculated balances will be accurate in every edge case, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own records of financial transactions outside Tabby.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Educalibr will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or use, arising out of or related to your use of Tabby. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the greater of (i) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (ii) USD 20.

10. Termination

You may stop using Tabby and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if continued provision of the service becomes impractical. Sections 5, 8, 9 and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Educalibr is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law of your residence provides otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Significant changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of Tabby after a change indicates acceptance of the new Terms.
